Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site

Everyone overnighting on the Chilkoot Trail, and day users on the Canadian portion of the Chilkoot Trail, require a Permit. Please adhere to Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site regulations at all times.

Crossing the Canadian/US border is not permitted. If hiking the American side, please refer to the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park website for more information.
